This spectacular tour crosses the wild and picturesque Gorgany mountains and continues to Synevyr National Park – one of the most beautiful in Ukrainian Carpathians. The highlight of this hiking trip is Synevyr lake – the biggest and the most popular mountain lake in Ukraine. Local people call it Sea Eye, because of pure blue water and small island in the middle of the lake, which reminds apple of the eye.

Day 1

In the morning you will meet your guides and the rest of the group at the railway station (main entrance) in Ivano-Frankivsk. There we will get a bus shuttle to the starting point of the hiking tour – lovely little village Myslivka. Today we head up to our campsite, which is in the beautiful Mshana valley between two mountain ranges.

Walking time – 4-5hrs.

Day 2

«Yaiko Mountain»

This day we will hike across the Yaiko mountain range. In the morning we will head up to its highest summit – Yaiko-Ilemske (1679 m). You will enjoy the spectacular views of Central Gorgans and surrounding nature, completely forgetting about busy city life. The second night we will spend in the campsite Solotvynka.

Walking time – 6-7 hrs.

Day 3

«Young mountain»

This morning we will head up to the summit of Moloda (which in English means young) mountain (1723 m). This is truly paradise for travelers: there is nothing saying about civilization, only mountains, you and your backpack. Here we will have a lunch, enjoying wonderful views of Gorgany mountains. From the summit we are descending back to Solotvynka campsite and following the path that leads through the old pine forest to the next Hycha campsite. These places are rich in mushrooms, so there is a chance to have delicious mushroom soup for a dinner.

Walking time – 5-6 hrs.

Day 4

«Carpathians Sea Eye»

Today will be a spectacular day exploring Synevyr National park, visiting small mountain village Sloboda, tasting cold and delicious water from the healthful holy spring and enjoying fantastic views of Synevyr lake. This lake is one of the seven wonders of Ukraine. It’s situated 989 m high above sea level, its maximum depth is 22 meters. From the lake we will hike up to alpine meadow Ozirna. This is amazing place in the heart of Synevyr National Park. Here we will spend our last night, enjoying the stunning view of surrounding nature, mountains and lake.

Walking time – 5-7 hrs.

Day 5

Our final morning we’re descending to a small mountain village Lopushne, where we take a transfer back to Ivano-Frankivsk. We’ll say bye to each other and you’ll continue your trip home or to the next destination.
