For 6 days we will be there – in the very heart of one of the most picturesque sceneries in Ukrainian Carpathians. Our trip will start from the lovely mountain town Yaremche. Here we will visit fantastic Probiy waterfall and Hutsul souvenir market. The group will hike in spectacular Dovbush mountain area – rich on wildlife, stunning views, human history and picturesque trails. We will ascend the highest summits in this region: Khomyak, Synyak, Dovbushanka and Vedmezyk. On this trip you will experience alpine meadows, waterfalls, rapid streams, rocky summits and magnificent wilderness of Ukrainian Carpathians.

Day 1

«Arrival»

In the morning you will meet your guides and the rest of the group at the railway station (main entrance) in Ivano-Frankivsk. There we will get a bus shuttle to the starting point of the hiking tour – little mountain town Yaremche. Here the group visits Probiy waterfall on the Prut River and old Hutsul souvenir market. We open our hiking trip with a walk through the old forest and wildflowers fields of Yavirnyk alpine meadow, where we will camp tonight.

Day 2

«Huk Waterfall and Khomyak Mount»

From our campsite we hike down to the mountain river Zhenets, where we will visit Huk waterfall. The water is falling down from the rock 11 meters high into the small and deep canyon, which was created by the river during millions of years. After, the group ascends Khomyakiv meadow, which is covered with wildflowers and green alpine grass. Here we will stop for a second night. We can also make a short hike up to the top of Mt. Khomyak 1542m, before sunset.  From the summit you can see an eye-popping panorama of Ukrainian Carpathians. In a good weather you will enjoy the view of Chornohora mountain range and Hoverla, rocky summits of Gorgans and picturesque valley of mountain river Prut.

Day 3

«Synyak and Malyi Gorgan Mountains»

Today will be a spectacular day! In the morning the group heads up to Synyak summit (1665 m). You will definitely enjoy breathtaking views of Carpathian mountains. After lunch we continue to explore Synyak mountain range, covered with big stones and rocks, ascending the Malyi Gorgan summit (1592 m). One of the best panoramic views opens from this summit, that’s really good viewpoint, where you can take amazing pictures. We camp tonight in Bladzhyv alpine meadow, which is situated in the foot of Malyi Gorgan Mount.

Walking time – 5-6 hrs.

Day 4

«Forest path»

Today we will take a path to the foot of Dovbushanka Mount, where we will stop for the night. The group will hike through the old pine-forest to the headwaters of the rapid river Zubrynka. These places are rich in mushrooms, so there is a chance to have delicious mushroom soup for a dinner.

Day 5

«Dovbushanka mountain range»

Our trail takes us to the one of the most stunning mountain ranges in all Ukrainian Carpathians. In the morning the group ascends Dovbushanka summit (1754 m). This mountain was named in honor of “Carpathian Robin Hood” – Oleksa Dovbush. The story says, that long time ago he hid his treasures somewhere inside this mount. So, maybe you will be the lucky one to find it. The group will explore the mountain range, hiking Vedmezyk summit (1736 m) and descending to the forgotten lake, where we camp tonight.

Walking time – 7-8 hrs.

Day 6

«Departure»

Our final morning we’re descending to a small mountain village Bystrytsya, which is situated in the picturesque mountain valley. In the village we take a transfer back to Ivano-Frankivsk, where we say bye to each other and you’ll continue your trip home or to the next destination.

Walking time – 2-3 hrs.
Arriving time to Ivano-Frankivsk – 6 pm.

Please note! In case of any kind of emergency (bad weather, serious health problems etc.) for group safety our guide has a right to slightly change the itinerary or decide to stay in a campsite for the day.
